The short version: you can use every calculator, value page and guide on this site without creating an account or giving us your name. The site is funded by advertising, not by collecting or selling your details.
1. What we collect
Very little. The figures you type into the calculators are processed to show your results and are not tied to your identity. If you submit a form, such as a data removal request, we store what you enter (your email address and an optional note). For security and traffic statistics we process technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited from standard server logs; where IP addresses are retained in our database they are stored only as a one-way hash.
2. Why we collect it
To run the site, to keep it secure, to understand which pages are useful so we can improve them, and to comply with the law. We rely on your consent where you give it and on our legitimate interests in operating the site.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not pass your details to dealers, banks or finance providers. Service providers (hosting, email) may process data on our behalf under agreement. Advertising partners are covered in section 7.
4. Security
Data is stored on access-controlled servers. Where IP addresses are kept in our database they are stored as a one-way hash, and access to the admin dashboard is password protected.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. Server logs rotate automatically.
6. Your POPIA rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact admin@futurecarworth.co.za or use the data removal form. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).
7. Cookies and advertising
The site stores your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser. We display advertising through Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalisation in your Google ad settings and read more in Google's advertising policies. Our own traffic statistics come from server logs, not tracking scripts.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and its identifier appear at the top of this page.
