About Future Car Worth
A car is the biggest thing most South Africans buy that loses money every month. Yet it is oddly hard to find out what a car is actually worth, or what it will be worth when the finance ends. Future Car Worth answers that question, for free, for any car sold in South Africa.
What you get here
Value estimates for hundreds of models across every major brand, five finance calculators, rankings of the cars that hold their value best and worst, and plain language guides on finance, balloon payments and resale. Nothing needs a sign-up and nothing is behind a form.
Where the numbers come from
We model depreciation for the South African market using 12 retention tiers built from industry book values, auction results and market reports, adjusted for body type, fuel and price band. Every value page is computed from a car's real new price and its tier curve.
These are estimates, not quotes. They exist so you can compare cars and plan finance with realistic numbers. A dealer, bank or insurer will give you the binding figure for your specific car, and it will depend on mileage, condition and timing.
Independence
We are not a dealer, a bank or a lead broker. We do not sell cars, sell finance or pass your details to anyone who does. The site is funded by advertising, which means the numbers have no reason to flatter any brand. If a car loses value fast, the page says so.
Who it is for
Anyone about to make a car decision: buying new or used, weighing a balloon payment, deciding when to sell, or just curious whether the bakkie was a better call than the SUV. If you want the honest number before you walk into a dealership, this site is for you.
