This medium plug-in hybrid SUV was one of three models BYD launched in April 2025 alongside the Shark 6 and Sealion 7. It offers around 80km of electric-only running and well over 1,000km combined. It has become one of the more common BYDs on SA roads.

Jetour T2 →
The T2 won the 2026 South African Car of the Year, the first Chinese vehicle to take the title in the competition's 40-year history. On sale from November 2025, the range runs from a R569,900 1.5T Aspire to the R679,900 2.0T Odyssey 4WD, with PHEV versions added in 2026. More than 4,000 had been sold by mid-2026.
