The Conquest was the hatchback version of the locally built Corolla, with the base models becoming the Tazz in 1996 while the sportier variants kept the name until 2000. The 1.6 and RSi versions earned a strong enthusiast following. Survivors in good condition, especially RSi models, are now collectible.
