Lancer sedans were sold in South Africa across several generations, with the 2008 model bringing sharper styling and a 2.0 CVT drivetrain. The rally-bred Lancer Evolution versions arrived in small numbers and now trade as collectables. Regular Lancers faded from the local market around 2017 when global production wound down.
