The Tribute was Mazda's first SUV in South Africa, sharing its platform with the Ford Escape sold overseas. It ran from about 2001 to 2008 with 2.0 and 2.3 four-cylinder petrols plus a 3.0 V6. Few remain on the road and values are low, partly because parts can take time to source.
